Clinics & Services
Practice Nurses
To see one of the nurses, make an appointment by contacting the receptionist. Nurses carry out the following procedures:
Cervical Smears
We carry out regular smears for women between the ages of 25 and 65. These should be carried out every 3 years for those under the age of 49 and every 5 years for those between ages of 50-65. There is an automatic recall system in place.
Carers
If you look after someone on a regular basis, you may benefit from some support from our team or Laura King from Carer Support Service.
Flu
Every autumn the practice offers flu injections to patients at risk. They include the elderly, diabetic, those with asthma or chronic chest complaints and congestive heart failure. If you need to have a flu vaccination, please contact the receptionist.
Immunisations
It is very important for children and babies to be immunised to protect them from dangerous diseases. Appointments can be arranged through the receptionist. We also offer adult immunisations for Tetanus, Polio, influenza, pneumonia and others required for travel, but not for occupational health.
Foreign Travel
We are currently not able to offer any travel advice. Please contact a private travel clinic for information or visit www.masta-travel-health.com for more information.
